1.What Parasol is

Parasol is a hedging product priced by open markets. When you buy coverage you are purchasing outcome shares on Polymarket, a prediction market, held in a deposit wallet you control. Each share pays $1 if the covered event occurs, as determined by the market's resolution rules.

2.What Parasol is not

Parasol is not regulated insurance. No insurer stands behind these products; the counterparty is the open market, and payouts depend entirely on how the underlying market resolves. Resolution rules, not your actual loss, determine payment.

3.Fees

Quotes include a platform fee (shown in every quote before you buy) and a small slippage buffer. If your order fills better than quoted, the difference is retained by Parasol.

4.Risk

Markets can be disputed, resolve against you, or lack liquidity to fill or exit a position. Never commit funds you cannot afford to lose. Availability depends on your jurisdiction; you are responsible for local compliance.

In short: Parasol is not regulated insurance; it is a hedging product priced by open markets. Payment follows market resolution, not your actual loss.
